Businesses from all across Anson and Union counties gathered Thursday, March 9 at South Piedmont Community College’s Ingram Room for the first annual Anson County Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. With more than 30 exhibitors, and 100 plus visitors, Chamber leadership was pleased.

Shelby Emrich, executive director of the Chamber, said the business expo was a great success, with a steady crowd throughout the event.

“We knew we were going to have a great event,” she said. “I think it was very successful for the first event we’ve ever had like this in Anson County. What a great opportunity we’ve provided for the business community.

“It gave people a means to network, to increase business opportunities and to obtain ideas on ways to increase business,” she added. “We saw many successful connections made at the Business Expo.”

Emrich thanked the expo’s presenting sponsor, Carolinas Health Care System-Anson; gold sponsors Four A Loader Work, LLC and Pee Dee Electric; silver sponsors Anson County Schools, Anson County Tourism Development Authority, Anson Health and Rehabilitation, South Piedmont Community College; and the exhibitors: Allen’s Restaurant, Anson County Animal Shelter, Anson County Chamber of Commerce, Anson County NC Work Center, Anson County Partnership for Children, Bayada Home Health Care, Brown Creek Creamery, Carpenter Sales and Services, Computer Zone, Forbes Jewelers, Forward Design and Print Company, H.W.
