William Carol Bias of Alderson, West Virginia and Doris Ann Mattox of Kimball, West Virginia were married Aug. 31, 1947 at Houston Methodist Church in Kimball. Bias served three years in the Navy during World War II. The couple met shortly after his return and were married after nine months of courtship.
Their celebration of 70 years was shared with their family, including their daughters and son-in-law, Carol Jones and Kinsey and Becky Cockman, and their grandchildren, Lauren Jones and Rachel and Kinsey Cockman.
