Anson High School celebrated homecoming all week, culminating with the Friday night football game and presentation of the homecoming court.
During homecoming week, students showed their spirit by dressing for a different theme each day, including “Generation Gap,” “Color Wars,” “College/Career,” “Luau,” and “Spirit Wear.” There was a drum line performance before classes began and a pep rally at Peachland-Polkton Elementary School.
Students ended the day Friday with an inspiring pep rally for students of Anson High and Anson New Technology School, which celebrated all fall sports members, the marching band and the cheerleaders.
For the first time there was a parade before the game led by Anson New Tech Robotics members, AHS clubs and complete with members of the Anson elementary schools. The marching band performed its halftime show before the game.
The homecoming court included Lady Tiffany Dollente and Lord Kevin Leak, Duchess Cydney Livingston and Duke Ben Tillman, Princess Kathryn McCrae and Prince Garrett Thomas and Queen Amesha Williams and King Timothy Horne.
The other court members were young ladies sponsored by the senior football players and their escorts.
