Peachland-Polkton Elementary recently held a military support drive for basic supplies and personal health care items. This was in response to more of our North Carolina families being impacted with additional troop deployments in the Middle East. Part of our school’s character education plan is nurturing appreciation for individuals that sacrifice so much in their roles of service. Our students collected snacks, toiletries and other necessities that will be needed away from home. The students also wrote letters of appreciation to thank our military members that are currently serving overseas. We would like to thank our students, staff and community for helping us make this project successful.
