Deadline is 3 p.m. the Thursday before publication. Calendar items must be complete and correct when submitted. Items must be submitted on 8½-by-11-inch (standard typing size) paper and include a contact telephone number. As the result of a change in policy, the Anson Record no longer will list prices in calendar listings, which appear as space is available. March 15
• The Bessie Chapel Male Chorus will celebrate its 26th anniversary at 7:30 p.m. at Bessie Chapel AME Zion in Lilesville.
March 16
• West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church will host its foot stomping, hand clapping, sweet surrender sound old time religion hymns featuring Boyd Hill Baptist Church from Rock Hill, and the South Carolina National Hymn Choir at 4 p.m.
March 17
• Victory Temple Miracle Center is hosting a Pastor’s Appreciation at 4 p.m. Bishop James Glenn will be the guest speaker. All are invited.
• Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its church anniversary at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Camilo Richards of Nicey Grove Baptist Church in Wingate.
• West Rocky Ford Baptist Church Missionary Ministry Annual Day will begin at 3 p.m. The guest preacher will be Pastor Comdell Campbell of New Zion in Peachland, along with his congregation.
• The Divine Unity Church House of Restoration Ministries will celebrate its second church anniversary. The Rev. Dr. Lisa Bracey-Cash of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Rockingham, will render the 11:15 a.m. morning service, and Pastor William Taylor of Johnson Chapel Church, Wadesboro, will render the 3 p.m. celebratory service. Dinner will be served after morning service. All are invited.
March 23
• Evangelistic Outreach Center will host a Breakfast Plate Sale from 8-11 a.m. The menu includes grits, eggs, sausage or bacon, toast and juice or coffee. The plate costs $6.
March 24
• The members of Garris Grove will celebrate their pastor, the Rev. R.A. Lisenby and first lady Lisenby, with a 22nd Pastoral Anniversary at 11 a.m. Elder Ann Davis of Norfolk, Virginia, will be the morning speaker. Dinner will be served after morning worship. The afternoon service will begin at 3 p.m. with their pass moderator, the Rev. Robert L. Sanders of New Piney Grove Church in Waxhaw, as the afternoon speaker. Everyone is welcome to attend.
• Johnson Chapel Holiness Church will host the 5th Appreciation Service for Elder Carlos Melton at 3 p.m. The guest speaker is Pastor Nathaniel Floyd of Mt Pleasant. All are invited.
• The Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church will have a 4 Gospels Program at 3 p.m. The Rev. Dennis Rivers, and ministers Devunda Lindsey, Richard Ellerbe and Teresa David will be the guest speakers.

• Deep Spring Baptist Church will host 5th Sunday night singing with Grag Cook at 6 p.m. Cook is the worship leader for Hopewell Baptist Church.
April 3
• Pastor Little will be the revivalist at Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
April 7
• West Rocky Ford Baptist Church Ushers’ Ministry will have their Annual Day at 3 p.m. The guest preacher will be Pastor Donna McNair of Fairview in Burnsville, along with her congregation.
April 11
• Pastor Terry Little of West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church will be revivalist at Mt. Sinai in Rockingham at 7 p.m.
April 14
• The ushers of East Rocky Ford MBC will host their Annual Ushers’ Day program at 3 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Burney, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wadesboro.
April 17-19
• Resurrection Service will begin nightly at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Sylvia McLendon will be the guest speaker at New Meltonville; Pastor Charles Sturdivant will be the guest speaker at West Deep Creek MBC; and Pastor Terry Little will be the guest speaker at Divine Unity.

• The Church of God of Prophecy, 8477 U.S. 52 in Morven, and Youth Pastor Dannie Montgomery hosts “Power of the Word Youth Bible Study” each Wednesday night from 6-7 p.m. All youth are invited to attend and learn how to apply the Word of God and the Power of God in their everyday lives. Adult Bible Study is held at the same time conducted by Elder N. Thompson and Pastor Iris Tillman.
• Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church Bible Study is every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

• Calvary Episcopal Church will offer a group meeting of artists and crafters from 1 to 4 p.m. each Thursday.
• Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 612 Salisbury St., Wadesboro, offers a soup kitchen noon to 1 p.m. on the first, second and third Thursday of every month.
