Alpha Pi Chi crowned its 2016 debutante last month.

Clara Webster, a recent graduate of Anson High School, was crowned on May 14.

Alexandria Tillman, the 2015 Miss Alpha Phi Chi debutante, gave her crown to Webster at the ceremony.

Tillman was escorted by Zac Burch. She is the daughter of Alexander and Deonya Tillman and a junior at Anson High School, where she is a member of the Zeta Omega Sorority. She works at Food Lion in Wadesboro.

Tillman was attended by Gwendolyn Monique Mims, the daughter of Miranda and Robert Mims and a junior at Anson High School. She was also attended by Shamiah Nicole Crawford, a junior at Anson High School.

The ceremony was held in the Ingram Room in the Lockhart-Taylor Center in Wadesboro.
