WADESBORO — Two Anson County stand out students earned recognition at their university’s.
Peachland’s Rebecca Cabrera was named a student ambassador at Bob Jones University. Cabrera is a senior majoring in International Studies.
As a student ambassador for the university, Cabrera helps provide information and assistance to the campus community and guests. She is also a tour guide for prospective students, alumni and other visitors, where she pulls from her own experience and knowledge about BJU to showcase the university.
At the University of Alabama, Wadesboro resident Cameron Luke Ratliff made the Dean’s List for the summer of 2020.
Ratliff was one of 506 students to make the list. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have an academic record of 3.5 grade point average or higher.
