WADESBORO — October 11-15 marked Homecoming Week, and Anson High School and Anson County Early College celebrated with all the fanfare. They paid homage to their sports teams, cheered on the Bearcats in football games, and were decked out in spirit all week.

Both schools had Spirit Week, where students and staff came out in costume. Days included Holiday Day, Western Day, Decades Day, Pajamas Day, and Color Wars Day. Check out the photos to see everyone’s spirit wear!

Both schools also put on spirit activities on Friday before the Homecoming game and dance. Anson County Early College and Anson High School congratulates Rikki “Makayla” Little on being named Homecoming Queen and congratulates the other representatives of the Homecoming Court.

Homecoming Week also had not one but two football games. They lost to the Monroe Redhawks at home on Tuesday, October 12, with a score of 0-49, but their next game, the Bearcats proved that a loss couldn’t get them down. Bouncing back for the Homecoming game on Friday, October 15, Anson Bearcats beat Covenant Day Lions 39-27.
