ANSON COUNTY — Schools have been wearing pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is held every October to support those affected by breast cancer, fundraise for a cure, and further breast cancer research and prevention.

On Friday, October 22, Ansonville Elementary held Pink Out Day. Students joined together to form a giant pink ribbon, the symbol for breast cancer.

Also on October 22, the Bearcats wore pink during their Senior Night at the football game against Parkwood. The Bearcats lost 20-26, but Anson High School was able to join together as a community fighting for a great cause.

Then on October 25, Morven Elementary held Pink Out Day.
