POLKTON — Anson County Animal Shelter hosted their second free vaccination clinic on Dec. 4.

Through their grant with Petco Love and Zoetis, they vaccinated 196 pets from Anson, Richmond, Union, and Mecklenburg. Anson County Animal Shelter Director Maureen Lett said they are rehoming two more in relation to the vaccines. Also through their program with Cabarrus Spay Neuter Clinic, the animal shelter scheduled four pets to be spayed and neutered.

“We plan on holding another clinic in January and hopefully every month until the vaccination grant runs out,” Lett said. “A huge thank you to Petco Love and Zoetis for giving us this opportunity!”
