Local store wins sales award

POLKTON — Carpenter Sales and Service recently won Scag Power Equipment’s 2021 Gold Award for exceeding sales goals.

Since October 2004, Carpenter Sales and Service sells and repairs outdoor power equipment including zero turns, riding mowers, chainsaws, and generators. They carry several lines including Echo, RedMax, Grasshopper, and Generac but Scag is their featured line of zero-turn mowers.

Carpenter Sales and Service is run by Scott and Daylon Carpenter, Scott’s sons Ross and Neal, Whitney Lambert, and other employees and mechanics.

“Scott and I both grew up in Anson County and we are glad to be a part of the business community,” Daylon Carpenter said. “We also enjoy Ross and Neal working alongside us, and we hope to be here for many years to come.”

They’re actually working in the very same store Scott Carpenter worked in with his father when he was thirteen, demonstrating how Carpenter Sales and Service is a family-run business at its heart.
