Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help to end a rash of break-ins and thefts reported throughout Anson County.
The property crimes don’t seem follow an established pattern — officials say there is no particular time of day when the break-ins are happening.
“The Anson County Sheriff’s Office is asking the citizens to be our eyes and ears of the community by remaining observant,” Sheriff Landric Reid said in a news release. “The sheriff’s office recommends that all citizens record the serial numbers for their personal items that may have one and store it in a safe place.”
Deputies say they are taking the incidents seriously.
“Protecting the citizens and their property is a major priority for the sheriff’s office,” the release states.
Anyone with information on the break-ins, including the identities of potential suspects, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 704-694-7083 or call Capt. Tim Watkins at 704-695-6314. Tips will remain confidential.
