The Anson Singers, a community choir with members from Anson and surrounding counties, will resume rehearsals on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 118 E. Morgan St, Wadesboro. The Singers, directed by Emily Privette, will meet on a weekly basis each Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. in preparation for their annual Christmas concert. The Anson Singers is a non-profit, self-supporting group that is maintained solely through donations from community members and businesses. Anyone who enjoys choral singing is invited to join.

Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church’s women’s ministry will sponsor fun for seniors, the Salt and Pepper for Unity, every third Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rock Hill in Lilesville.
