Four men were arrested late last month in connection with a Morven robbery and several others in the Carolinas.
The men are accused of committing a series of robberies in Monroe and Lancaster County and Pageland, South Carolina, as well as robbing Morven’s Truck Stop on July 5.
Detrez Lamar Timmons and Daquan Marquis Timmons, both 19 and of Monroe, were arrested on July 23. Isaac Izail Long, 26 and also of Monroe, was admitted into the Union County Jail in Monroe on July 21. A fourth suspect, Jerfrontys O’Bryan Clyburn, 20, of Pageland, is being held in the Lancaster Detention Center.
Detrez Timmons, Daquan Timmons and Long all face multiple charges, including robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Both Detrez and Daquan Timmons are being held in the Union County Jail and are due to appear in court on Aug. 25. Detrez Timmons is being held under a $150,000 secured bond, and Daquan Timmons is being held under a $100,000 secured bond.
Long is being held in the Union County Jail under a $198,500 bond. His court date is set for Aug. 18.
Clyburn’s charges were not available by press time.
The Timmonses are believed to be brothers, according to Peter J. Hovanec, spokesman for the city of Monroe.
Hovanec said that the police are unaware of any connection between the four and Anson County, believing Morven’s Truck Stop to simply be a convenient target.
