Dave Anderson of Atrium Health and John Marek of the Anson County Economic Development Partnership were featured speakers at the Anson County Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet & Annual Dinner.

More than 150 businesses and professionals attended.

Accomplishments of past board members were recognized and new board members were introduced. The following awards highlighted the evening:

• The Henry W. Little, III Community Leadership Award, given to Tommy Allen, retired Anson County Sheriff.

• The W. Dunlap Covington Award for Community Service, given to Jeremy Taylor from Plank Road Realty.

• Young Professionals of the Year, given to Ashley Rivers Scarborough from Plank Road Forestry, and Megan Sellers.

• Anson Economic Development Partnership Chamber Champion, given to Jennifer Winfree Tarlton of Turner & Tarlton.
