Amanda Levy of Wake Forest received medalist honors at the Legacy Golf Club in Aberdeen on July 26 at the Carolinas Golf Association in the Women’s Division event.
Levy scored a 5 under par for the championship firing a 67 for her personal best round. As the winner, she will advance to play at Pinehurst Country Club on No. 5 at the upcoming CGA Tournament of Champions.
In July, The First Tee of the Triangle announced her as the recipient of their Chipping-In Scholars Program award in college assistance for her achievement in academics and continued community involvement.
Amanda is a sophomore and a member of the Women’s Golf Team at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is the daughter of Steve and Angie (Hanna) Levy of Wake Forest and sister, Megan of Gastonia; and granddaughter of Edna Weidner of Wadesboro.
