WADESBORO — Kids and teenagers were treated to free pizza and school supplies as part of the Mopar Car Show Community Event on April 10.
The partnership event between Mopar Car Club and the Wadesboro Police Department was held in the Papa Joe’s parking lot. Participants received free pizza and school supplies. They were also able to vote on the cars parked for the show. These cars came from both local residents and those in surrounding areas.
Local Jalen Burns received the most votes for “Best Looking Car.” The Wadesboro Police Department will provide him with a trophy at the May Town Council meeting, according to Thedis Spencer, Wadesboro Chief of Police.
“This was a truly great event,” Spencer said. “Mopar Car Club reached out to me and provided free pizza and school supplies to every kid and that showed up.”
