About 75 veterans and guests enjoyed a night of fellowship, singing, entertainment, homemade chicken and dumplings and a visit from Santa Claus with the Veterans Council at the National Guard Armory on Dec. 3. The memorial committee gave an update on the memorial being planned for Wadesboro Park and the fundraising activities needed to raise the money. All Anson County veterans are invited to come to these meetings and show support for all who serve. Meetings are held twice a year, and one is coming up in May.
