WADESBORO — The Inter-Church Council of Wadesboro invites the public to participate in different services planned for Holy Week, March 29 through April 2.

Mid-day Lenten services will be posted online at the Wadesboro Inter Church Council Facebook page around noon. These services will be pre-recorded. Each service will be hosted by a different church. Monday is First United Methodist Church, Tuesday is First Baptist Church, Wednesday is Sacred Heart Catholic and First Presbyterian Churches and Friday will be Calvary Episcopal Church.

Calvary Episcopal will broadcast a morning prayer throughout the week starting at 10:00 a.m.

A Maundy Thursday service will be co-hosted by First Presbyterian and First United Methodist at 7:00 p.m.. This service will be both streamed live and in-person. Friday’s Tenebrae service provided by First Baptist Church will be at 7:00 p.m. The service of shadows will be offered in person at the church.

Easter Sunrise service will be live streamed at 7:00 a.m. from the Presbyterian Garden on the Inter-Church Council Facebook page. The video will be available for viewing after as well.

“As churches and religious organizations across the county observe their most sacred time of the year, everyone is invited to tune in, attend or both,” a press release said. “The Inter-Church Council of Wadesboro welcomes everyone to remember and celebrate Holy Week in any of these many services.”
