POLKTON — The Chamber of Commerce hosted its 24th annual Big Game Hunt Tournament over Thanksgiving weekend.

The top teams were ranked and awarded the largest prizes. First place ($1,000) winners were API made up of Brian Allen, Bud Ratliff, Dustin Horne, and Anthony Taylor. Second place ($600) winners were Bates Farm made up of Alvin Bates, Tracey Lamonds, Eric Hicks, and Dane Edwards. Third place ($400) winners were Edwards made up of Brad Edwards, Chris Edwards, Glenn Watson, and Jeff Smith.

The Chamber also recorded overall winners below.

Adult Buck:

• 1st ($700): Kirk Baker, Lilesville

• 2nd ($400): Aaron Bates, Wadesboro

• 3rd ($300): Jody Brown, Polkton

• 4th ($150): Donnie Coleman, Monroe

• 5th ($50): Zack Smith, Wadesboro

Youth Buck:

• 1st ($250): Noah Strawn, Marshville

• 2nd ($125): Carly Davis, Polkton

• 3rd ($75): Dylan Ivey, Marshville

• 4th ($50): Brooks Calhoun, Rockingham

Adult Doe:

• 1st ($700): Darren Poplin, Wadesboro

• 2nd ($400): Pike Davis, Polkton

• 3rd ($300): Bud Ratliff, Wadesboro

• 4th ($150): Dustin Horne, Monroe

• 5th ($50): Dane Mullis, Marshville

Youth Doe:

• 1st ($250): Levi Dennis, Polkton

• 2nd ($125): John Neal Conklin, Wadesboro

• 3rd ($75): Jaxson Worsnop, Wingate

• 4th ($50): Will Thomas, Marshville

In total, the Chamber of Commerce paid out $8,785. The Chamber could not do it without its sponsors, Pee Dee Electric and Four A Loader Work, and community volunteers.
