Walmart Distribution Center is still in the lead after the fourth week of the Recreation Department Men’s Industrial Basketball League at 8-0.

Cobb is second at 404, followed by Anson Schools at 3-5 and Triangle Brick at 1-7.

Ryan Lisenby, Cobb, is the top scorer, averaging 20 points per game. He’s followed by Corey McManus, Walmart, 13.3; Jaquan Bullock, Walmart, 9.5; Chris McRae, Triangle Brick, 8.4; and Jolan Kendall, Triangle Brick, 8.1.

Walmart’s 55-45 win over Cobb, on Thursday, was named the Game of the Week.

“It was another thrilling matchup between the two best teams in the league,” said Allen Jackson of the Recreation Department.

With 3-point shots gained by McManus and Khalil Fall, Walmart took a huge lead in the start of the first half. Top scorer for Walmart was Bullock with 17 points.

Cobb fought to catch up behind the leadership of Lisenby, who scored 24 points in his best game of the season.

“These teams have had great games each time they matched up with each other,” Jackson said. “There is a chance that we will see them play again in the championship game.”

Lisenby earned Player of the Week, averaging 20.5 points per game.

“Linsenby has proved himself throughout the season to be one of the best players in the league,” Jackson said. “His leadership and playing style led Cobb to a win in the game against Anson County Schools, where he scored 17 points, and a 24-point performance against an elite Walmart team.”
