Reptile 101 takes over Hampton B. Allen Library
WADESBORO — As part of Hampton B. Allen Library’s ongoing summer initiative to bring education and fun to all Anson County residents, Morven’s own interactive reptile zoo, Reptile 101, were invited to bring their family of creepy, crawly reptiles into the stately Pritchard Room for a hands-on demonstration for teens.

MORVEN — Pastor Lawrence Brand and First Lady, Temecka Brand, founders of Church’s United Outreach Prayer Line Ministry, hosted a community free fish fry Saturday, September 23, at the Holla! Community Development Center. The ministry group gave out free fishplates and cell phones at the event.

Local nonprofits partner to host financial literacy workshops
MORVEN – HOLLA!, NETworX Anson, and Roger’s Heart have partnered to bring Uwharrie Bank’s financial literacy workshops to Anson County. Uwharrie Bank’s series, ‘The Path Forward”, is free to all community members. Community Outreach Coordinator Tina Townsend of Uwharrie Bank will teach the hour-long sessions.
