ANSON — One Charlotte woman, Alexis Diggs, decided to take the loneliness wrought by the enforced separation of the COVID pandemic into her own hands, reuniting sisters Wincy Harrington and Louise Little last Friday.

Diggs’ 95-year-old grandmother Louise Little does not drive. It has been three years since Little visited her 87 -year old sister, Wincy Harrington, who is a resident at Anson Rehabilitation.

Harrington was admitted as a patient into Anson Rehabilitation at the start of the pandemic, resulting in the sisters being apart, unable to see, touch, or even be in the same room as each other.

Commenting on Friday’s emotional reunion, Diggs stated, “Yesterday, I made it happen for them!”
